Virtual: National Meet the Candidate: Alex for Albuquerque
Hosted by Mayra Macias, Lucy Flores, and Jazmin Chavez
Alex Uballez is a former U.S. Attorney for New Mexico and a 15-year veteran prosecutor with an unmatched record of delivering results for the people of New Mexico. As the state's chief federal law enforcement officer, he personally led prosecutions against dangerous drug cartels, secured major convictions in crimes against children, and exposed three decades of public corruption in APD's DWI unit, until his work was abruptly ended in a round of Trump's politically motivated government personnel purges.
Alex's family story embodies the American dream through immigration, grit, and service. His mother immigrated to the U.S. at age seven, his father was raised in public housing, and today Alex is raising his young family in Albuquerque with his wife, Gabrielle, where she grew up.
Now he's running for mayor to create a safer, strong Albuquerque and lead on policies that preserve the city's culture and build it's future as a model of government that delivers results and gives people a reason to believe.
